The Pecan Abroad
During June and July of 2000, I traveled to Prizren, Kosova (Kosovo is
the Serbian spelling) (see map)
as part of a mission trip overseen by the World English Institute. Using the Bible
as the text, I taught English to students of various ages on a one-on-one
basis. Near the end of my stay, I took a side trip to Turkey. In addition,
on my return trip to the U.S., I had the opportunity to spend a day in
Vienna, Austria. You may view some of the photographs from my trip by
clicking here.
During my stay in Prizren, I documented my experiences in a series of
e-mails I sent to friends and relatives back home. I have compiled those
e-mails into a travelogue that I
make available here.
In the summer of 2002, I made a similar trip to Durrës, Albania (see
map) and spent
time in Italy on my return trip. My travelogue
from that trip, complete with picture links, can also be viewed here.
My trips to Morocco, Peru, Costa Rica, and Uganda were not mission related, but I've made my travelogues from those trips available here as well.
